In addition to the season premiere, the WarnerMedia-owned network has announced that June 20 will now officially be known as Rick and Morty Day, an out-of-this world celebration of the Emmy-winning series packed full of sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes footage and special surprises across TV, digital and social medias, all kicking off with the premiere.

The series is an award-winning half-hour animated comedy centered on the sociopathic genius scientist Rick and his inherently timid grandson Morty, both voiced by co-creator Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites), as they go on increasingly dangerous adventures across the multiverse, much to the dismay of Rick’s daughter Beth and the rest of her family, similarly timid son-in-law Jerry and teenage granddaughter Summer.
